From smart phones to idiot box we are using our eyes to stare at small fonts and images more than ever before. Earlier people had to use spectacles after a certain age. But now even small children need the help of spectacles because their eyes are not healthy.
Those of us with healthy eyes tend to take eye health for
granted . There is no replacement and you must preserve them for life by eating healthy things .There are plenty of
ways to improve your eyes health.
1 - Getting enough rest (this allows your eyes to fully repair
and recover from the day)
2-Taking breaks from the computer screen and books.
3-Your best bet is to eat as many leafy greens per day as
possible.
4-Start your day with an egg or two to keep your vision on track.
Eggs contain proteins that are beneficial to the lens of your eye.
5-Garlic helps protect the lens of the eye. It is one of the best superfoods. It makes our immune system healthy.
6- Onions are rich in sulphur which also protects the lenses of the eyes. So have
onions in abundance and preferably have them raw.
7- Beetroot is rich in iron that improves your general eye
health.
8- Carrots contain beta carotene , which is good for retina and protects against sun
damage.
9- Yellow bell peppers are particularly important for their anti
oxidants that prevent night blindness.
10- Citrus fruits are rich in nutrients and stop the
deterioration of your eyesight. So take plenty of oranges , lemon , kinnoo etc.
11- Fish contains healthy omega 3 fatty acid . which are found in
the retina.
12- Almonds, cashews and peanuts all contain omega 3 S. They help
reduce dry eyes.
13- Dark chocolate- They contain flavonoids that protect the
blood vessels in your eyes.
14- Grapes contain anthocyanins that is a very important to make
your night vision stronger.
15- Stay hydrated- Up your water intake if your eyes are often
dry, blurry or tired.
Avoid
Avoid sugary foods as they are bad for your eyes. The more
sugar you eat ,the worse your eyesight will become.
Do not stare at gadgets for too long. Lower the brightness
level of your computer screen and phone as it reduces strain.
