Prescription drugs also do not work well for many migraine sufferers . For those persons  home remedies  may be the best option.

Drink water:-

Dehydration  can be a big cause of headache . So drink a lot of water in whole day .

Scalp massage :-
Massaging the area at the back of the head and at the base of the skull reduces migraine pain .

 

Celery :-

It is one of the richest sources of lutolin which prevents cycle of degenerative changes in the brain .

Turmeric :-

It stimulates the process of creating new brain cells.

Lavender oil :-

Inhale the vapors of this oil ( 2-4 drops in 2-3 cups of boiling water is recommended ). Lavender oil should not be taken orally.

Flax seeds :-

These seeds have anti inflammatory  property thus helping  reduce headache ..

Buck wheat : -

It has a flavonoil which shows antioxidants properties which counteracts the damaged cells.

 Ginger :-

Habit of taking ginger daily is good for migraine  patients.

Peppermint  and basil oil :-

The fresh smelling oil helps to open and close the vessels that promote flow of blood .

Chick peas :-

Chick peas are one of the best food sources of magnesium . Magnesium helps in relaxing blood vessels which allow more blood flow to the brain .

Important points:-

Get a good night sleep :-

Get up and go to bed at the same time every day if possible.

Keep the room dark during rest .

Do not skip meals

Red pepper – capsaicein found in pepper acts as pain killer

Taking 400 mg of riboflavin can help eliminate migraine
