Its summer - an amazing time of  the year when fresh fruits are available in abundance . it’s a natural trend to eat light during summer. So  the best time to lose weight is in summer. To keep yourself healthy , you can follow the following diet plan during summer season :

 

Breakfast

Fruit yogurt:- Have yogurt laced with lots of fruits like mango, banana, strawberry, kiwi, apple etc.

Or

 Veg wrap :- Have veg wrap( chapattis stuffed with boiled vegetables like corn ,paneer, peas, potato, tomato, green coriander and add salt and pepper according to your taste.) To make  it more delicious add lemon, roasted cumin seeds, chaat masala etc.

Or

Veg dalia:- make oats or wheat dalia with lots of vegetables.

Or

Poha:- have poha with lots of vegetables.

Before lunch:-

Buttermilk or chaas or lassi with herbs like parsley, mint, cumin seeds, carom seeds, black salt etc.

Or

 Coconut water

Or

Any shake like banana shake, mango shake , strawberry shake  or plum shake

How to make shake

Simply blend the  fruit( without seeds) as mentioned above with milk. Add a little bit of Rooh Afza/sugar according to your taste & your healthy and filling shake is ready.

Or

Yummy mix fruit chat ( cantaloupe, cucumber, pineapple, tomato, banana , kiwi ) Sprinkle lemon juice and black salt on it . It is easy to prepare and is very  healthy for your body.

Lunch

1 bowl of green vegetable

1 bowl of thin dal

1bowl of curd

1-2 chapatis

After lunch:- same as before lunch

Dinner

1 bowl of stir fried vegetables

1 small bowl of low fat paneer or 1 bowl of grilled chicken

1 bowl of rice or 1-2 chapatis

Tips for summer :

During summer food gets spoilt more quickly. So make sure that you pay extra attention to the freshness of fruits and vegetables.

Cook food at a high temperature . Disease causing bacteria like E.coli , salmonella are killed only at high temperature.

Drink naturally cooling beverages like coconut water, lemon juice, buttermilk, sugarcane juice rather than aerated soft drinks.

You can add sabja ( tulsi seeds) to drinks as it has a cooling effect on the body.

Raw mango juice also known as  Aam Panna can help balance electrolytes in the body.
